FLOK NYC will host an intimate and thought-provoking evening centered on the themes of justice, reintegration, and the transformative potential of second chances. The event, held at 1283 Madison Avenue, New York, NY, will bring together changemakers, survivors, and advocates to engage in bold dialogue about what it truly means to begin again.
This powerful gathering features Dr. Topeka K. Sam, Founder and CEO of The Ladies of Hope Ministries (The LOHM), in conversation with Karen Mehiel and Nicole Daedone. Together, they will explore the deep systemic barriers that hinder freedom and healing—especially for women—and how communities can become part of the solution.
The evening is anchored by a guiding question: How do we begin again—in a world that often denies us the chance?
Through storytelling, advocacy, and shared vision, this event seeks to ignite new thinking around justice reform, the reintegration journey, and the personal and collective responsibility we all share in creating more equitable systems.
About Nicole Daedone
Nicole Daedone is an educator and entrepreneur best known as the co-founder of OneTaste, a company that developed and taught a unique meditation practice focused on female sexuality. While her work sparked important conversations around female empowerment and embodiment, she currently faces federal charges—critics argue these charges reflect prosecutorial overreach aimed at silencing women with forward-thinking ideas on intimacy, power, and healing. Despite the legal challenges, Daedone remains steadfast in her advocacy, championing both the liberation of women and systemic reform that upholds dignity and fairness for all—especially those impacted by the criminal justice system.
Her voice in this conversation offers a vital perspective on public perception, narrative control, and the urgent need for justice systems that honor complexity and humanity.
